The Smart Data Server: A New Kind of Middle-Tier
نویسندگان
چکیده
In this paper, we will introduce a new kind of server, called the Smart Data Server (SDS). It acts as the middle-tier in a three-tier architecture (Applet-SDS-Database). It allows the building of lean clients by shifting functionality to the SDS. It offers a frame for easy-to-build environment-independent modules with multiple functionality. By building of SDS-networks, secure communication is made possible.

An Approach to Distributed Functionality - The Smart Data Server
This paper introduces a new kind of Java-server, the Smart Data Server (SDS). It offers the accessing of data with function-calls to SDS-networks. This allows the building of lean clients with the shifting of functionality to the SDS-network. The server builds the middle-tier in a multi-tier architecture (Client SDS-Network Database). It offers a frame for easy-to-build environment-independent ...
متن کاملThe Internal Workflow of the Smart-Data-Server
Middle -tier architectures have to fulfill many requirements. These requirements are growing with the different versions of the middle-tier architecture. To a llow a flexible extension of the architecture, its design has to be clear and easy so one has not to take care of all the dependencies of the components if a new one is added. In this paper we present the technology of internal workflow p...
متن کاملSecure Business Application Logic for e-Commerce Systems
The major reason why most people are still sceptical about e-commerce is the perceived security and privacy risks associated with e-transactions, e.g., data, smart cards, credit cards and exchange of business information by means of online transactions. Today, vendors of e-commerce systems have relied solely on secure transaction protocols such as SSL, while ignoring the security of server and ...
متن کاملAdvanced Secure Remote User Authentication Scheme Preserving User Anonymity
To ensure secure transmission of data and to authenticate remote user while accessing server resources, smart card based remote user authentication schemes have been widely adopted. In 2004, Das et al proposed first of its kind of protocol for remote user authentication with smart cards using Dynamic Id to protect user anonymity. In 2005, Chien et al pointed out that Das et al scheme failed to ...
متن کامل1 Middle - Tier Extensible Data Management
Current data management solutions are largely optimized for intra-enterprise, client-server applications. They depend on predictability, predefined structure, and universal administrative control, and cannot easily cope with change and lack of structure. However, modern e-commerce applications are dynamic, unpredictable, organic, and decentralized, and require adaptability. eXtensible Data Mana...
